"I worked with Sue during our time together at SGBD over a period of 2 years, Sue asked me to work with her to produce a Management trainee programme that included Business Controls and Stock and Shrink and the importance of these key topics that have an impact on stock availability and sales.

Sue has the ability to engage delegates and keep them engaged throughout any training session, due to her personality and “thinking outside the box” way of working.

Having worked with Sue I have seen for myself the impact on the businesses she has worked with, with regards to improved sales, shrinkage, customer service that she has delivered her training too.

Working with Sue is an absolute pleasure and I would have no hesitation in recommending Sue as she is fantastic and makes a real difference to people and businesses."

“I was blown away with the professionalism, confidence and presentation skills, along with the desire each graduate conveyed in their approach to ethical selling. This is clearly impacting on the increased revenue and outstanding customer service. Sue’s passion and expertise are clearly crucial to the success conveyed which are the core to the ISM’s mission in terms of developing the next generation of Sales Professionals. Howarth Timber are leading the way in terms of investing in the professional development of their Sales people which they rightly view as crucial to their ongoing commercial success. The returns on investment around this programme are clear to see and I look forward to building on our partnership while recognising Howarth Timber through ISM media channels".

"Sue Reed is the consummate professional with vast experience in designing and delivering bespoke programs to support personal development and leadership training.
From clarifying and developing the brief, preparing a tailor-made package, and then delivering this with passion and energy in her own inimitable style, Sue will engage with sponsors and individual delegates alike to achieve both business and personal objectives.
And as you would expect, follow up to see that learnings are applied within the business is also likely to be included.
I have had the pleasure of observing Sue deliver her programs and she is excellent at encouraging participation, ensuring understanding, building confidence and generating enthusiasm amongst the delegates. Delegate and management feedback strongly supports this.
I wholeheartedly recommend that you should discuss your business training, leadership and development requirements with Sue."

"I will start by saying that you are about to start an incredible journey on which you will learn so much about yourself as well as the tools you will need going forward in your career and life in general.

Sue Reed is AMAZING. The course can be tough, but Sue makes everything so easy to understand and the setup of her classes are like no other I have come across. You will have so much fun that you feel at ease and there will be plenty of laughter.

I found myself doing tasks and projects which I never had the opportunity to do before this training course and now I have completed and passed I am now doing great things at work and showing what I can really do with the confidence and tools learnt with Sue.

Work hard and take this opportunity with both hands as I did, and you will grow as a person as well as in your work place. Sue has given me so much confidence that I am now on my way to become a manager. There is still plenty of hard work ahead for me but after the training I feel nothing is out of reach.

Thank you, Sue and good luck, to all of you taking this fantastic course".

"Sue has run our Essential Foundations of Sales Management programme - Rising Stars, for two years now with great success; culminating in Josh Chaplin winning the 2018 BESMA (British Excellence Sales Management Award) - Rising Star category.

Adding academic training to their day to day experience and on the job training really does fast track the development of our rising stars – understanding the “how” and “why” is so important.  Sue’s course content and style of delivery is absolutely right for our young people as they begin their career journey. She is also excellent at ensuring the whole business is engaged with the course so that Branch Managers, Area Managers and even the MD are involved with the group as they progress through the course and beyond into their careers.

The added benefit of Sue being a Fellow of the Institute of Sales Management and the fact that her courses have attracted ISM accreditation is testament to the value they deliver'.

"I had such a great day! I can truly say that is the best course I have been on yet!  Feeling very excited and determined about the course already!  Makes you feel excited about working in sales and the future it holds."

"An excellent session that really helped me look deeper into the workings of sales and better adapt my approach towards each customer.

Sue was a fantastic tutor who really brought the session to life by engaging the class and giving us supportive feedback where needed – it’s a great opportunity to meet other students from across the trade too!"

Callum Pollard

"Sue was brought into Jewson with the specific remit of bringing our training programmes in line with our strategic plans, and in particular to strengthen our Branch Manager and Area Director talent pool. Sue initially sought out the views of many (and at different levels) not just within the business but within the wider industry as well to establish what the best was in each of these job roles, and more importantly what they did in order to be the best. Sue then set about creating the training programmes required to deliver the business the calibre of Branch Manager and Area Director required, which resulted in two of the best training programmes that I had seen within 35 years within the industry.

What was equally as impressive was the way in which Sue delivered the programmes. Her vivacious character would always put everyone at ease and in particular some of the less confident trainees but she also has a keen eye for those who have “more to do” and would challenge each of these individuals in a way that would quickly deliver the improvement required. In short, an exceptional woman, who creates and delivers exceptional training courses, that help deliver both the strategic objectives and top and bottom line improvements to the company results.

Sue obtained Institute of Builder Merchants accreditation for the Jewson Management Trainee Programme - a first within the Merchant Industry".

"While I was employed by a global manufacturer Sue delivered a management training course to various levels of management. While we were expecting "death by PowerPoint" she engaged us from the get go and everyone participated eagerly. After the course completed Sue assisted me in delivering the various skills I learned in my working environment. These skills I use to this date, in work and in my personal live. I cannot recommend Sue highly enough and we have since both kept track of each other careers so much was her influence on my personal development".

"I have known Sue for many years especially through the Institute of Builders Merchants. I can honestly say that Sue is a real pioneer when it comes to training & development of staff. Her style and deliverance of clients objectives is second to known. The number of her clients I have personally met & spoken to confirm this. A respected trainer in the industry, one you can trust wholeheartedly. Its a pleasure to know Sue & actively encourage others to engage with her & her company".

Jim Collins

"I have to give a lot of credit to Sue for the foundation with which my career has been built on.  This was due mostly to well-structured 2 year Management Trainee scheme, through Jewson, with which she provided a varied and detailed programme.  Sue gave us the tools and support to develop our knowledge and skills, which enabled us to become confident and inspired managers.  She also opened up opportunities to network with industry and business connections, which today, I am still in contact with.  All of this was fundamental to get to where I am today.

I would recommend Sue to work with any group of future managers to draw out their full potential, to empower, enabling them to grow personally and within their career".

"Sue is a highly talented trainer and one of those who in my 20 years within HR, is innately gifted with how to engage, motivate and yield both tangible and non-tangible returns from the various programmes she has delivered to the business.

She is intuitive and develops empathy via bespoke programmes which captures the audience attention immediately. By taking a jovial approach, she successfully manages to put the audience at ease but at the same time she delivers development initiatives with a high degree of professionalism, creativity and wanting more from any session she undertakes. On the recent projects she has delivered to Howarth Timber, these have yielded a huge amount of financial returns (Graduate Development Programme yielded an additional £132,000 sales with a 30% plus margin; Assessment Centre generated huge recommendations that the business could use for commercial benefits).

I would not hesitate to recommend Sue for any development needs a business may have (we have re-engaged her for the Graduate Development Programme). She is pragmatic, strategic in her thinking and then relays these into operational activity".
